High Speed Pumps. In 1982-84 we designed submersible high-speed motors for the pump industry. Our design allows the number of pump stages to be reduced, which results in a reduced cost of equipment and increased efficiency of its operations. At right, a 7200 RPM high speed, 0.5 kW, 4-inch, 4-stage submersible water pump is shown. Conventional pump has 16 stages.
